Some cluster specs:
- 36 AMD Opteron Rev F Dual Core 2216 (2.4 GHz) processors (72 equivalent processors in 1 head node and 17 compute nodes)
- 2.2 TB internal disk storage (SATAII) on head node
- 8.192 GB DDR2 RAM per node (2 GB/equivalent processor)
- 2 TB SATA 7200 RPM disk per node (20 GB/equivalent processor)
- Fedora Core 4 64-bit Linux OS
- MGE Evolution 1500VA UPS
- NETGEAR GS748T 48-port 10/100/1000Mbps gigabit ethernet switch
- 21600 BTU/hr cooling required (1200 BTU/hr per node)
- 4 x 20 Amp PDUs
Second Cluster
We also now have a second machine (actually a new cluster head node), consisting of 24 cores, 48 GB RAM, and 10 TB of disk space. This is also used for intensive pulsar search projects.
