The Spanish and Latin American Film Festival evokes "reel inspiration" with outstanding films from across Spain and Latin America, making since 2013 a selection of cinema gems available to our students, staff, and fellow colleagues on campus and the entire Lancaster community.

The Department of Spanish, in collaboration with the F&M Writer's House, will be hosting three evenings of "Juegos de la palabra", or board game nights, this semester. Come and practice your Spanish and win fun prizes! The events will take place on three Friday evenings at 6pm. Join us for our first game night on October 20th!
This event is an ideal opportunity for you to practice and increase your Spanish lexicon, share your knowledge and learning enthusiasm -- all while having fun with your classmates.

* This two-session workshop will introduce you to creative writing in Spanglish, focusing on literary fiction and poetry. There will be experimental work and short spontaneous exercises designed to encourage you to push your writing in Spanglish to a new level of craft and to get you to try different things. If you like to play with words and you have taken or you are taking Spanish classes this semester, this workshop is for you!!!
