Students who complete a major in Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies will:
  • Be familiar with the major issues related to gender and sexuality, and understand the scholarly debates about their causes and possible responses;

  • Understand examples of the intersection of gender and sexuality with other axes of power and privilege;

  • Be able to differentiate among a variety of feminist theories and use them in written and other work;

  • Be able to apply cross-cultural, historical, and global frameworks to the analysis of experiences and representations of gender and sexuality.
