The Year in Photos
A calendar year on campus is full of both subtle and significant moments that help define us as Diplomats. Deb Grove, Franklin & Marshall staff photographer, selected an image for each month of the year.
January
The first snowfall of the year coated campus and the College’s signature blue Adirondack chairs. Plan your winter visit.

February
The premier of Plasticity, housed at the Susan & Benjamin Winter Visual Arts Center, featured a film installation by artist-in-residence Rebecca Zinner ‘09, adjunct professor of film & media.

March
A brilliant rainbow arced over Sponaugle-Williamson Field, home to many F&M athletic teams.
April
A series of Admitted Student Days gave incoming F&M students an early glimpse of campus at the Lombardo Welcome Center.

May
Members of the Class of 2025 eagerly await to receive diplomas at the College’s 238th Commencement May 10.
June
Old Main was frequented by a juvenile red-tailed hawk this summer. Home to more than 1,000 trees, campus offers a haven for a wide variety of flora and (feathered) fauna.
July
F&M upgraded residence hall laundry rooms with 112 new machines. Good news for students: No more quarters required!
August
The College warmly welcomed Andrew Rich as the College’s 17th president and Sunita Gupta Kramer ’92 as new provost this summer.
September
More than 2,000 students, parents and alumni filled campus Sept. 19-21 for True Blue Weekend. Find your favorite photos from the weekend.
October

November
In a long-standing tradition, the Philadelphia Alumni Writers House hosted its annual Thanksgiving feast for faculty, staff, alumni, families and friends.

The Office of Community & Belonging brought back the beloved tradition of awkward “F&Mily” photos.

F&M Selected to Join National Initiative to Strengthen Civic Inquiry
Franklin & Marshall College has been invited to participate in the Institute for Citizens & Scholars’ Campuswide Immersion (CWI) program, reflecting the College’s commitment to free inquiry and longstanding dedication to preparing students for leadership and engaged citizenship.
